Coach House Expands Lineup

NOKOMIS, Fla. — Coach House, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new Platinum 261XL luxury touring motorhome.

Like all members of the Platinum family, the 261XL will turn heads wherever it goes, thanks to its unique aerodynamic design and patented one-piece fiberglass body.

The new model, based on the 176-inch wheelbase E-450 Heavy-Duty Ford chassis, measures 26 feet, 10 inches long and only 10 feet, 5 inches tall (including roof-mounted air conditioner).

The low-profile design, hand-crafted construction, R-28 insulation and superior weight distribution combine to create a motorhome that provides all the comforts of home and handles like a luxury automobile.

This downsized Class C motorhome is available in two floor plans, a Club Lounge (261XL CL) or Side Dinette (261XL SD), with either gas or (optional) diesel engine.

The interior is designed and outfitted like a luxury motor yacht, meaning that every inch of space is used efficiently. In fact, Coach House consults with experts from the marine industry to assist in the decoration and design of its vehicles. When you walk into the side entry door of the 261XL, you will find yourself in a large, comfortable living area. The reliable dual-ram HWH slideout opens to provide plenty of space for entertaining or relaxing. At night, the power sofa in the slideout folds down to form a queen-size bed.

A 20-inch flat-panel TV is mounted overhead on a swing arm so that it can be adjusted for perfect visibility from anywhere in the coach. The VCR/DVD combo with surround sound is great for watching your favorite movies or television shows. Located amidships is a huge galley, with solid-surface counter tops, recessed kitchen sink, recessed three-burner stove, 6-cubic-foot refrigerator, convection oven, slide-out pantry, and enough storage to keep you on the road for weeks, if not months.

The rear of the coach features an extra-large bathroom for a unit this size, with a full-size stand-up shower, a separate toilet, a large linen closet, a spacious wardrobe, his-and-her medicine cabinets, and a solid privacy door to partition the bathroom from the rest of the coach. The 261XL includes a long list of standard features, including: 6-way power driver’s seat, Optima leather-touch upholstery, stainless-steel wheel simlulators, trailer hitch, exterior shower, air suspension, concealed 68-pound propane tank, generator, auxiliary coach batteries on a slide-out tray, and many, many more.

The superb construction and customer support from Coach House are the best the RV Industry has to offer,” said Steve Gerzeny, vice president of Coach House, Inc. “We invite you to compare Coach House to any other small motorhome, and we think you will agree that Coach House is truly in a class by itself.
