Platinum III (Transit 3500 Cab Chassis)

Coach House Ford Transit Chassis

Ford Transit 3500

A World of Possibilities

Meet the newest member of the Coach House family — the Platinum III, built on the Ford Transit chassis powered by a 3.5L Ecoboost V-6 gas engine. This rugged engine has 306 Horsepower and 400 foot pounds of torque.  It also comes equipped with a 10 speed automatic transmission.  The SelectShift provides two modes of operation to choose from:  Progressive Range Select lets the driver press the toggle switch on the shift lever to reduce the range of available gears while in drive, or choose Full Manual function by moving the shift lever into “M” for manual mode and use the same toggle switch to selector the the gear desired.  The GVWR is now 11,000 lbs and GCWR up to 15,000 lbs.  The Platinum III includes all the standard features of our other Platinum motor homes and is built to the same high standards. The Platinum III is offered in two center twin-bed arrangements, with your choice of a sofa or dinette up front.

One-Piece Shell

Coach House One-Piece Shell Fabrication

One-Piece Hand-Laid Fiberglass Body

Nobody else builds a motorhome this way

One of the most important features of Coach House motorhomes is the patented, one-piece hand-laid fiberglass body. The superstructure is reinforced with carbon fiber and designed to prevent water leaks and rattles and give you years of trouble-free enjoyment. Most RV bodies consist of many pieces joined together, and where they are joined represents a potential for failure. Our one-piece shell is stronger, more durable, quieter and safer than multi-piece designs, and its aerodynamic shape improves fuel efficiency.
